CINEMA SEARCHES FOR HELP
May 18 2006 - Cordele Dispatch
CORDELE — The old look of the local movie theatre will transform quickly in the next seven to10 days and soon people will see the old Martin Theatre’s face on the marquee replaced with a fresh new look.
Spotlight Theatres Cordele Stadium 5 will be opening soon, and after over a year’s absence, movies on the big screen will be available once again.
Joseph Paletta III, CEO of Spotlight Theatres, has announced a tentative date for the grand opening.
“We are pushing to open to the public on June 2nd and should know by the end of the week if that date is attainable,” Paletta said.
He said that once the front of the building is closed up, which is scheduled to happen by the first of next week, the carpet, cabinets and drapes will all be installed at once, taking about 3 days to complete.
“Spotlight Theatres is excited to be a part of Cordele,” he said. “Cordele is a wonderful area, and we know patrons of spotlight theatres will enjoy stadium seating, online ticketing and various amenities the theatre will offer.
Paletta said the first run stadium five-screen theatre will feature plush high back seats with wide spacing between rows for extra legroom and stadium risers for unobstructed viewing.
He added that all auditoriums will house high-gain, wall-to-wall screens with digital audio and high quality projection equipment producing the best quality sight and sound for an enhanced movie going experience.
The company will be hosting open interviews on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. for employment.
Interested parties can still apply online at www.SpotlightTheatre.com if they are not able to attend on Saturday.
“We’ve had a tremendous response to our online application, which is available 24/7,” he said
